Andrew Hamilton BSc Hons, MRSC, ACSM, is the editor of Sports Performance Bulletin and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Andy is a sports science writer and researcher, specializing in sports nutrition and has worked in the field of fitness and sports performance for over 30 years, helping athletes to reach their true potential. He is also a contributor to our sister publication, Sports Injury Bulletin.

Prof. Mike Saunders

Mike Saunders is a member of our Advisory Board, a Professor of Exercise Physiology at James Madison University (Virginia, USA), and Director of JMU’s Human Performance Laboratory. Mike’s research is primarily focused on the effects of various nutritional interventions utilized during and/or following exercise to enhance performance and recovery for endurance athletes.

Prof. Andy Lane is a member of our Advisory Board and a Professor of Sport Psychology at the University of Wolverhampton. Andy has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed journal articles, edited three books and is a regular contributor to the print, radio and TV media. He is also a member of the UKactive Scientific Advisory Board and provides consultancy at the ‘Centre for Health and Human Performance’

Alicia Filley, PT, MS

Alicia Filley, PT, MS is the editor and a long-time contributor to our sister publication Sports Injury Bulletin, she has 30 years' experience working in rehabilitation, sports injury, and sports performance. Alicia holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in physical therapy. She is a practicing physical therapist and avid hiker, runner, and cyclist.

When not writing and researching, Alicia can be found putting our findings to the test outside on the trail and inside the gym. An avid hiker and founder of The Healthy Hiker training program, her most recent achievement is hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim.

Jason Tee, PhD

Jason Tee, PhD is a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach and researcher in athletic performance, focusing on injury reduction and training prescription, particularly in rugby union players. Prior to his career as a university lecturer, Jason spent 12 years working as a coach within youth and development sport. This practical experience provides a unique background to research and teaching which strict academics often aren't privy to. This has also fueled his desire to produce practically relevant research which impacts practice at all levels of sport. Jason currently serves as the Director of Sport (Preparatory) at St. John's College in South Africa.

Tracy Ward MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP 

Tracy Ward MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP Tracy is a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist, with a Masters degree and several postgraduate certifications, including her Diploma in Orthopedic Medicine, McKenzie Therapy Mechanical Diagnosis, and the Acupuncture Foundation course. She specializes in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. She previously worked as Head Physiotherapist at the international level with Scottish Hockey and with numerous international athletes within rugby, rowing, squash, triathlon, and ice skating. Tracy is also an APPI Pilates instructor and founder of Freshly Centered, an Pilates multi-media platform based in Scotland.
